ホームページが新しくなってから、スタッフたちがそれぞれの視点でお酒やギフトの魅力をお届けしてまいりましたが、今回は第1期の締めくくりとして、経営者である私自身の言葉で、私たちの会社の「現在地」をお話しさせてください。
私たちのルーツは、ここ島根県吉賀町で100年近く続いてきた一軒の小売店にあります。
2023年11月、これまでの伝統を受け継ぎながら、時代に合わせた新しい挑戦をスタートするために、社内ベンチャーとして「s.grace株式会社」を立ち上げました。
私たちは今、この町でどのような役割を担っているのか。改めてご紹介させてください。
1. 地域の「困った」を解決する、確かな技術
私たちの原点であり、今も大切にしているのが、皆さまの日常を支える専門技術です。
- メガネ：国家資格（眼鏡作製技能士）を所有するプロフェッショナルが、皆さまの大切な「見え方」をサポートし、作成から修理まで責任を持って対応しています。
- 時計：思い出の詰まった大切な時計が再び時を刻むよう、修理を中心に承っております。
- 補聴器：信頼のトップメーカー「リオネット補聴器」と連携し、確かな商品の販売から修理受付まで行っています。さらに、吉賀町や隣接する岩国市への「補聴器購入補助金」の書類申請代行も行っており、手続きが難しい高齢者の方々のご負担を少しでも減らせるよう動いています。
2. 「町内一番」の実績。人生の節目に寄り添うギフト
お祝いの席から、悲しみの席まで。私たちはギフトの専門店として、年間100件を超える冠婚葬祭の受注をいただいております。
おかげさまで「町内一番」の実績と信頼をいただき、お返し（志）の相場から、その地区ならではの細かなしきたりまで、安心してお任せいただける体制を整えています。
3. 大手から特約店、そして世界へ羽ばたくお酒
アルコール事業においては、誰もが知る大手メーカーのお酒はもちろん、厳しい条件をクリアした店しか扱えない「特約店限定」の貴重なお酒も取り揃えております。
そして、私たちの最大の挑戦が、吉賀町の素材を近隣の技術で形にしたオリジナルブランド「sumikawaシリーズ」の企画・販売です。これは現在、国内に留まらず、海外への輸出・販売も行っており、島根の小さな町から世界へ向けて新しい価値を発信しています。
結び
一見すると、お酒、ギフト、メガネ、補聴器……と、バラバラの事業に見えるかもしれません。
しかし、その根底にあるのは「この町に暮らす人々の不安をなくし、人生の喜びの瞬間を増やす」という、100年前から変わらない私たちの想いです。
過疎化が進む地域だからこそ、都会に負けない確かな技術と、世界に通じる新しいセンスが必要だと確信しています。「澄川に相談すれば、なんとかなる」。そう言っていただける存在であり続けるために、私たちはこれからもこの町に根を張り、挑戦を続けてまいります。

Hello, I’m Sumikawa, CEO of s.grace Co., Ltd.
Since our website was redesigned, our staff members have been sharing the appeal of our alcoholic beverages and gifts from their own perspectives. Now, to wrap up this first phase, I’d like to speak in my own words as the company’s CEO and share where we stand today.
Our roots lie in a single retail store that has been in operation for nearly 100 years here in Yoshika Town, Shimane Prefecture.
In November 2023, we launched “s.grace Co., Ltd.” as an internal venture to carry on our traditions while embarking on new challenges suited to the modern era.
What role do we currently play in this town? Please allow me to reintroduce us.
1. Reliable expertise that solves local “problems”
Our foundation—and something we still cherish today—is the specialized expertise that supports your daily lives.
Eyewear: Professionals holding national certifications (Certified Opticians) support your precious “vision,” handling everything from creation to repairs with the utmost responsibility.
Watches: We specialize in repairs to ensure your cherished watches, filled with memories, keep ticking once again.
Hearing Aids: In partnership with the trusted leading manufacturer “Rionet Hearing Aids,” we handle everything from the sale of reliable products to repair services. Furthermore, we assist with the paperwork for the “Hearing Aid Purchase Subsidy” in Yoshika Town and the neighboring city of Iwakuni, working to ease the burden on elderly customers who may find the process difficult.
2. A Track Record as the “Number One in Town.” Gifts That Accompany Life’s Milestones
From celebrations to times of grief. As a specialty gift shop, we receive over 100 orders annually for gifts related to weddings, funerals, and other life events.
Thanks to our customers, we have earned a reputation as the “top shop in town” and have built a system where you can entrust us with everything from standard gift-giving etiquette to the specific local customs of each area.
3. From Major Brands to Exclusive Dealers, and Sake That’s Taking Flight Around the World
In our alcohol business, we carry not only well-known brands from major manufacturers but also rare “exclusive dealer” sake that can only be sold by shops meeting strict criteria.
Our greatest challenge is the planning and sales of our original brand, the “Sumikawa Series,” which transforms ingredients from Yoshika Town into products using local craftsmanship. Currently, we are not only selling these products domestically but also exporting them overseas, spreading new value from a small town in Shimane to the world.
Conclusion
At first glance, our businesses—alcohol, gifts, eyeglasses, and hearing aids—may seem disparate.
However, at the core of it all lies our unwavering commitment—one that has remained unchanged for 100 years—to “eliminate the anxieties of the people living in this town and increase the moments of joy in their lives.”
Precisely because this is a region facing depopulation, we are convinced that we need reliable technology that can rival that of the cities, as well as a fresh sensibility that resonates globally. “If we consult Sumikawa, they’ll find a way.” To remain a company that earns such trust, we will continue to put down roots in this town and take on new challenges.
