澄川酒店

弊店は、かつて町の眼鏡屋としてスタートし、吉賀町の皆さまの多様なニーズに応えるべく、時代の変遷とともに眼鏡、ギフト商品、お酒など幅広い商材を取り扱ってまいりました。吉賀町は中山間地域の過疎地ですが、空気と水がきれいなこの町では、オーガニックヴィレッジ宣言を澄川酒店の始まりは、実は「眼鏡屋さん」でした。そこからギフト、お酒……と、吉賀町の皆さんのニーズに合わせて、形を変えながら100年近く歩んできました。

吉賀町は小さな町ですが、水も空気も本当にきれいで、ここで育つ野菜やお米は全国に自慢できる宝物です。私たちは2003年から、その宝物をお酒にして「sumikawa」ブランドとして育ててきました。

吉賀町でしか味わえないのは　“もったいない”

吉賀町は島根県内に3つある高速道路があり、島根県は基より広島・山口から観光で来られる方も多くおられます。観光に来られた皆様に “吉賀の里” をお土産として選んで頂く事も少なくないのですが、「再々買いに来る事が出来ない」「もっと気軽に楽しみたい」とお声がけいただき、Webサイトで販売する事が出来れば皆様から頂いたお声に答えられるのではないかと思い、再開を準備中です。美味しいお酒をもっと多くの方に楽しんでもらいたい。
そして多くの方々に吉賀町の良さを知ってもらえればと思います。

皆さま、初めまして。s.grace株式会社の澄川寛です。

一度は学業で地元を離れましたが、再びここ、島根県吉賀町に戻ってきたとき、改めて気づかされたことがあります。それは、この町が持つ歴史の深さ、過疎地文化、そして清流・高津川が育む「上品さ」です。

文化人を輩出したこの土地には、ここにしかない「テロワール（風土）」が確かに存在しています。確かに過疎化は進み、かつての賑わいは失われつつあるかもしれません。しかし、だからこそ見える価値があり、ここでしか生まれない独自の魅力がある。私は「sumikawa」ブランドを通じて、その可能性を世界に伝えることを自分の使命として走っております。

そして今、私にはもうひとつ、人生をかけた大切な使命ができました。

それは、この積み上げてきたバトンを、次の時代へと繋ぐことです。

私は昭和に生まれ、この町で育ちました。私の役目は、ここまでです。次は、平成に生まれた方へ。そして、その先の令和を生きる方へ。

過疎地域だからこそ、同じ人間が留まり続けるのではなく、新しい感覚を持った人が入れ替わっていかなければならない。そう確信しています。地域を動かすのは難しいこともありますが、「会社」という形であれば、人の流動性はもっと自由に、大胆に作り出せるはずです。

将来、私は一歩退き、サポート役に回ります。昭和の私たちが築いてきたこの場所を、平成・令和の皆さんが自由に、大胆に塗り替えていってください。今後、一緒に働いてくれる方を募集いたします。
私以上に情熱があり、この吉賀町と高津川流域を世界に届けてくれる方をお待ちしております。

Hello, everyone. My name is Hiroshi Sumikawa of s.grace Co., Ltd.

Although I once left my hometown to pursue my studies, when I returned here to Yoshika Town in Shimane Prefecture, I realized something anew. It was the depth of this town’s history, its culture as a depopulated area, and the “pride” nurtured by the clear waters of the Takatsu River.

This land, which has produced many cultural figures, undoubtedly possesses a unique “terroir” found nowhere else. It is true that depopulation is advancing, and the bustling atmosphere of the past may be fading. However, it is precisely because of this that certain values become visible, and there is a unique charm that can only be born here. Through the “sumikawa” brand, I am dedicated to conveying this potential to the world as my personal mission.

And now, I have taken on another vital mission to which I am dedicating my life.

That is to pass the baton I have built up to the next generation.

I was born in the Showa era and raised in this town. My role ends here. Next, it is for those born in the Heisei era. And for those who will live in the Reiwa era beyond.

Precisely because this is a depopulating region, it is not enough for the same people to stay; people with fresh perspectives must come in to take their place. I am convinced of this. While revitalizing a region can be difficult, if we operate as a “company,” we should be able to foster greater freedom and boldness in the flow of people.

I will take a step back and assume a supporting role. Please feel free to freely and boldly reshape this place that we, the Showa generation, have built. We are now recruiting people to work with us.

Through the organization s.grace, we will fully support the challenges of those who are even more passionate than I am and who will help bring Yoshika Town and the Takatsu River basin to the world.
