Title: The Story Behind the Sumikawa Series – From Yoshika Town to the World

The “sumikawa” series was inspired by the rich nature and culture of Yoshika Town in Shimane Prefecture. Despite challenges as a depopulated area, Yoshika is home to the pristine Takatsu River, which supports local industries and daily life. This clean water became the foundation of our first product, “Muikaichi Monogatari.”

To reflect the river’s beauty, we chose a stunning blue bottle for its design. Starting as a local souvenir, this product has grown to reach markets across Japan and overseas.

With the theme “From the Takatsu River to the World,” we aim to share Yoshika’s charm globally while honoring its nature, history, and culture in every product we create.
